The pink diamond band which I ordered arrived. It is beautiful! The workmanship is exquisite. The band has very tiny fancy pink diamonds (0.20 ctw) and it must have taken tremendous effort to complete the ring – one tiny mistake and it would be extremely obvious to anyone looking at the band. I find my experience with Diamonds by Lauren a positive experience. I have my qualms ordering jewelry over the internet and phone but I am glad that it worked out. This diamond band is a test buy for me – rose gold is difficult to work with and this tiny, tiny rose-gold band would tell me whether Diamonds by Lauren could deliver quality rose-gold jewelry.
There are a few things you may wish to note before engaging Diamonds by Lauren. If you are interested in getting the ‘ready’ items on the internet with no alternations needed, the items would reach you (after payment of course) between 1-3 days. But if you want customized jewelry, it would take longer – and the customized jewelry involved the use of rose gold, it would be even longer. I have checked with artisans before – not many people could work with rose gold. My diamond band, though simple, took a few weeks because it involved the use of pink diamonds and rose gold. If you like customized jewelry in rose gold, I would advice you to engage Diamonds by Lauren. I have seen disastrous work involving rose gold before as most jewelers/artisans have little experience in dealing with rose gold (and they charge a premium for rose gold).
Would I order another piece of jewelry from Diamonds by Lauren? Yes, I would probably do so in Mar/Apr 2009 when I have finally decided on the design of my dream ring.

I enjoyed your blog with the topic Diamonds by Lauren. I’m wondering if you are describing the pink gold that was made prior to 1940 or so? I have a cameo ring in that type gold.
Keep up the great work!

Teresa222 - thanks for checking out my blog! Pink gold is a gold and copper alloy which is reddish in colour. It is also known as rose gold and red gold. It has been really popular….well, during my grandma’s time in Southeast Asia.
