Let me enjoy a good sulk here.
Things have really not been fine recently:
-
I got a warning from medhelp for spamming. I really hoped I was warned because there is this auto-detection system which categorizes posts which are sent to different people within the short span of time as spam. But it worries my since medhelp claimed that someone has complained. I wished I know who complained so that I can explain to her that it is not my intention to spam.

I am in the midst of a career crisis. Should I ask for a new posting because I need a change of environment? Or should I wait longer till my ‘little ovarian cancer project’ is completed.
-
I know I should not have done so. But I got upset with someone accused a friend of mine as ‘passing judgment’ at medhelp. That to me is a personal attack. I have written hastily, perhaps with the benefit of hindsight, that I should not write a quick defense for my friend and ignites world war 3. Mind you, I should still think I should stand up for my friend but I would be devastated that my post leads to a ‘posting war’.

And it is upsetting to read day after day, the kidney for sale case in Singapore. A rich businessman, who had failing kidneys, was charged for buying a kidney from a third world country. The businessman had through his contacts, managed to buy a ‘kidney’ from a person from a neighboring country paying a sum equivalent to 16.5 years worth of wages for the seller. The businessman was charged before the sale could go through. I know there are a lot of talk about that it is not ‘ethical’ to exploit another person from a poor country. There are a lot of people who felt that it is ‘wrong ethically’ and some gloated that ‘not everything can be bought just because you are rich’. But it is upsetting to me when I saw the businessman at the stand. By putting a stop to the sale, you are effectively putting a death sentence on him – so in effect, we are sentencing him to death. I am not saying that it is ‘right’ to buy a kidney from a poor person who is forced by circumstances but I could ‘feel’ for the businessman too. I get very irritated by those self-righteous people being ‘ethical’ – tell me how ‘ethical’ you are if you are the one with the failing kidneys and that you know that you could have a new lease of life if you pay a certain amount of money which you could afford. I don’t know – I am conflicted but I really feel like crying every time I see the picture of the rich businessman on TV or in the papers.

Everyone needs to vent and it feels so good to get it out. Instead of starting arguments with my husband when I am mad (and half the time I don’t know what I am really mad about) I write him nasty letters that I never give him. Calms me right down
I can very much relate to the issues you have posted. The world can be such an unfair place. On the job front my advice to you is to go for the new posting. I have always found that my excitement and energy around one area of my life spills over into another. The busier I am the more I can get done.
Good luck with everything!

Trudie - thanks for your kind words. It is good to vent and go to one corner to sulk.
Glad that your husband never received those letters. Please remember to burn them after writing them!
