Welcome to the Diary of A Quirky Lady! This is actually my 3rd attempt in writing blogs. My first blog was housed at livejournal which I started when the blogging craze first started where everyone is blogging. Livejournal is easy to use but allows little room for creativity. My first blog died a natural death.
I started the second blog at http://pinklilyflower.blogspot.com during a time of upheaval in my personal life when my mother was diagnosed with 4th stage ovarian cancer. It provided an outlet for me to record the milestones in my mother’s fight against ovarian cancer. As times passed and my mum completed her cancer treatment, I find that I have other things to write about which has nothing to do with ovarian cancer. I finds that blogging is actually fun and my blog actually attracted an international audience! However, as my blog evolved, I find that blogger could not quite meet my needs. I only have at blogger, at the last count around 48 blog journal entries. And although this is a very small number of entries, I find that as times past, it is more and more difficult for me to search for my own blog entries as they are categorized according to date.
Thus, the birth of this new blog (drum roll) –the Diary of A Quirky Lady! (throw rose petals in the air!!!!) I am not a technical savvy person and I have spent much time creating this blog and uploading my older blog entries to this new blog.
Some of my posts were also uploaded from my journal entried which I maintained at medhelp which I posted under the nickname PinkTissue. This is my profile at medhelp:

The ladies at the medhelp forum had given much help and comfort to me during my darkest time dealing with ovarian cancer. I would like to honour these ladies - they have no idea that by commenting on my journal entries, they have not only offer comfort and help to me, but also gave me confidence to write.
A VERY BIG THANK YOU to the following strong and beautiful ladies in medhelp (in no particular order):

I actually strongly encourage everyone to start a blog. It is therapeutic and it is fun. But I must warn you, if you are thinking of ‘making money’ out of your blogs, I have to inform you sadly from personal experience that 99% of the bloggers failed to make money via blogging. I tried to see whether I could make a side income via blogging in my second blog – I made a grand total of $1.29 from AdSense after a few months….on paper. I only needed to make another $98.71 to cash out.
So….welcome to the Diary of A Quirky Lady who in her dreams is making inroads into building a million-dollar Blog Empire!
